The King’s School is an 11-16 school with a long history being founded in 1139 making it one of the four oldest schools in Yorkshire. The school converted to academy status in 2013 and has planned admission number of 210 pupils in each year group.
The School ethos is summarised by the words ‘Culture + Consistency = Excellence’. The School has a culture of high aspirations for all, where simple highly effective strategies are implemented consistently.
