What skills and experience we're looking for

Wollaston School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic full time DT teacher, with the ability to teach throughout the school from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5. ECT’s applications are welcomed as we offer a fully supported induction programme with tailored CPD including regular subject specific mentoring.

The successful candidate will be an innovative, reflective practitioner who can demonstrate the willingness to adapt and learn. We are looking for an individual with high expectations and standards who can deliver great lessons across all key stages. An additional strength would be an approach to offering a creative, engaging approach to the delivery of the curriculum and planning both within the classroom and also in the wider outdoor learning environment .

We have a highly successful team of DT specialist teachers who are passionate and forward thinking and have proven excellent exam success year on year. With the reintroduction of A Level Design Technology this year the ability to teach to A-Level would be advantageous. Our students are enthusiastic and uptake at both key stage 4 and key stage 5 is good.

What the school offers its staff

We are an ambitious school with staff and students equally aligned to that agenda, however we pride ourselves on our warm Wollaston welcome and are highly protective of our values of kindness and community. We are a fantastic place to work and study.
