PolyMAT is a small and ambitious MAT with a unique family feel that is seeking a Teacher of Design & Technology. Our vision is ‘Success for Everyone’ and the successful candidate will help deliver this for our schools. We currently have three schools in our Trust: Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys, a long-successful boys’ school, Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls that opened in 2019, and Bannockburn Primary School, a large successful primary that joined the Trust on 1st November 2023. We also have our flourishing Sixth Form provision which is co-educational. Our Trust and our schools pride themselves on a culture of high standards delivered through our Values of Care and Unity. Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys is looking to appoint an exceptional teacherof Design & Technology with a dynamic and inspirational approach to teaching, an individual that will become an integral part of the department, who will support the department in achieving its ambitious targets and goals. We would like a teacher who believes in collaboration both for students and when working with colleagues. The ideal candidate will be expected to contribute to extra-curricular activities within the department as well as the pastoral life of the school as a form tutor.

We are looking for a teacher who has:

A genuine aptitude for teaching Design & Technology, which is clearly demonstrated in the classroom

Has multiple skills within design technology and can confidently teach across Product Design, Textiles, CAD/CAM, at KS3 with a specialism at KS4

Willingness to learn new or unfamiliar areas of Design and Technology

A proven record of delivering high-quality lessons resulting in excellent outcomes.

Ability to work within and add value to an already highly effective, creative, and motivated team.

The ability to develop and constantly modify exceptional practice in-line with a continually changing climate.

A desire to further raise overall achievement and success of Design & Technology within the school.
