Rainhill High was graded as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in February 2023.
The report states,‘Leaders have ensured that all pupils, including students in the sixth form, benefit from a suitably ambitious curriculum’ and ‘Students in the sixth form can study a wide range of academic and vocational courses’

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, ambitious and inspirational candidate to join our team for September 2025 on a part time 0.8 contract. You will teach KS3 Computing, KS4 Creative iMedia, and Post 16 Digital Media. There may also be the opportunity to teach GCSE and A Level Computer Science.
The successful candidate will have the capacity to enthuse, engage and inspire our pupils through strong subject knowledge; someone who thrives on collaboration and teamwork; a committed professional with high levels of personal motivation and ambition.
You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills with a genuine commitment to teaching and the ability to develop our students’ love of learning in Media, IT and Computing. Good Degree in relevant subject area
PGCE in relevant subject area
QTS/QTLS
Familiarity with the Cambridge Technical syllabus requirement for Digital Media
Familiarity with Cambridge National syllabus requirement for Creative iMedia
Experience teaching iMedia at KS4 and Digital Media at KS5
Experience teaching Computing at KS3
Experience teaching Computer Science at KS4 and 5
Evidence of “Outstanding” practice

Rainhill High School is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form centre located in Rainhill, Merseyside, England.
The school converted to an academy under Rainhill Learning Village in March 2017.
More recently, the school has become part of the Stephenson MAT and was graded as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in February 2023.
