We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Drama teacher who is creative, enthusiastic, dynamic and committed to joining our experienced team of outstanding teachers. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to academic excellence and help to embrace our mantra of “Achievement for All”, plan and deliver high quality lessons and be committed to achieving excellent results for students, instilling in them a love for the subject and a desire to learn. Teaching will be across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities available for teaching at KS5.

Essential educational requirements
1. UK Qualified Teacher status for teaching secondary education as recognised by the DfE.
2. Graduate in Drama, or related subject, with a good degree.
Ability to teach at least good lessons and to engage pupils across the age and ability range, and to ensure they are suitably challenged.
Essential skills and experience
Proven classroom management skills.
Potential to teach good lessons and to engage pupils across the age and ability range including A’level.
High expectations of pupils’ work, attitude and behaviour.
Understanding of Drama links with other areas of the curriculum.
A good working knowledge of ICT systems and applications in the classroom.
Ability to prioritise and set personal targets.
Willingness and ability to contribute to extra-curricular activities.
Ability to assume a form tutor role.
