What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic and inspiring colleague to join our highly regarded and successful Performing Arts team. You will be able to enthuse and motivate our students with your passion for Drama and Performing arts through creative teaching, presence and personality. This role is flexible and so at times a successful candidate may also be required to teach some English lessons.
The Performing Arts department is highly successful and totally committed to ensuring successful outcomes for our students. BTEC courses are run in both Performing Arts at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. The ability to teach Key Stage 5 is helpful, but not a pre-requisite for the post. We have recently showcased a highly successful school production We Will Rock You (School Edition), rehearsals are in full swing for the 2023 production The Little Mermaid (Junior) and we are looking for excellent teachers who are excited by the prospect of continuing to develop Musical Theatre and Performing Arts at CSIA. The successful candidate will be passionate in their contributions to ensuring that students get ‘out of lesson’ experiences through clubs, trips and visits, showcases and productions.
