Helston Community College, part of the Southerly Point Co-operative Multi-Academy Trust, are looking for a dynamic, inspirational teacher to join our successful Creative Arts Faculty from September 2022. Applicants must be passionate about learning, creative in the classroom and believe that all students can achieve.
The ideal candidate will:
• Have the vision to fully develop and support the Drama Department;
• Be an inspirational communicator and have the skills to both challenge and encourage students to achieve their potential;
• Be a committed team player;
• Have the ability to think creatively and encourage student engagement.
The successful candidate will engage and enthuse students and be committed to raising standards of attainment in Drama. You will make a significant contribution to the quality of teaching and learning within the Faculty, and will have the opportunity to teach across the full age and ability range at KS3, KS4 and Post 16. Both ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.
There is an annual large College production that the successful candidate would be required to support, which often means lunchtimes and after College. There is an expectation the successful candidate would be prepared to offer enrichment activities to students alongside this production. All of this gives every student the chance to experience and builds engagement in the Performing Arts developing confidence and a sense of inclusion that is vital for success across the whole College curriculum.
