Teacher of Drama (Maternity vacancy: Temporary for one year) job summary
We are looking to appoint, an enthusiastic, creative and passionate teacher of Drama to fill a maternity vacancy, at this stage we expect this to be the whole of the 2020 / 2021 academic year. Drama is a very popular subject at Westwood and works in partnership with our Music and Art departments. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Drama Teacher or enthusiastic NQT looking to build a career. We are looking for teachers with a love of drama and performance, ambition and the ability to engage young people in learning. We provide an exceptional environment in which both teachers and pupils thrive. We have a fully equipped Drama Theatre with tiered seating and a Drama Studio for workshop and classroom based practice.

Role Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status or NQT with recent UK classroom experience essential
• Up to date knowledge of the current Drama curriculum at Years 7 – 11 and an interest in putting on at least one small drama production per term, with an annual drama production in partnership with Music and Arts departments.
• Dedicated, creative and hardworking individual
