Teacher of Drama job summary
We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Drama who is dedicated and keen to join our hard working, approachable and supportive performing arts team. The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher with high expectations and they should possess the imagination, energy and skill to help craft the curriculum and department.
We are looking to appoint a passionate and dynamic teacher to teach Drama across the age and ability range within both Key Stage 3 and 4 including GCSE level, a firm commitment to extra-curricular activities and the directing of school shows is essential. The successful candidate will be joining a well-resourced and highly successful Performing Arts department dedicated to producing high quality extra-curricular performances and school shows. Performing Arts has a high profile within the school and is extremely popular with students, therefore we are looking to appoint someone who has:
• A real passion for teaching and learning in Drama
• The ability to direct extra-curricular drama and school shows
• The ability to inspire, challenge and motivate pupils along with the ability to manage behaviour
• A willingness to contribute to the school and multi academy trust at all levels
• A willingness to be supportive of the Performing Arts Department drive to enable all students to achieve their full potential.
