What skills and experience we're looking for

You will be able to demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of teaching, learning and personalisation strategies and be responsible for maintaining the highest quality of monitoring and evaluating whilst improving the standard of achievement for all students. You will be confident in your abilities to effectively teach Food, Product Design and Textiles across Key Stages 3 & 4. You will be adept in creating a supportive, encouraging and safe learning environment for students of all diverse backgrounds.

To be the successful candidate you will:

  • Demonstrate a passion about the learning and achievement of all students;
  • An understanding of the Design Technology curriculum at KS3 & KS4;
  • Have excellent, well-developed interpersonal skills;
  • Have a strong commitment to inclusion, diversity and flexible working practices;
  • Be truly ambitious for our vibrant School and Trust and for each and every student within it.

Essential Criteria

  • Good honours graduate in Design & Technology or a related subject (preferable - 2:1 or first-class graduate).
  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Strong evidence of continued professional development.
  • Successful teaching experience of Design & Technology across a range of specialisms) at KS3 and (in own specialism) at KS4.
  • A confident teacher who has a strong rapport with students of all abilities.
