  • An appreciation of the characteristics of good subject teaching and how this enables good learning for all students, including vulnerable groups.
  • Knowledge of recent whole–school and curriculum developments and opportunities.
  • Be able to work as part of a team, with good interpersonal skills to relate to colleagues, students and parents.
  • Have the capacity for hard work, enthusiasm, self motivation and the ability to work to deadlines
  • Excellent subject knowledge of A-Level Economics.
  • ICT competence.
  • Ability to interpret and use data to support learning.

Further details about the role

We are seeking to recruit a part time teacher (0.6FTE) of A Level Economics. Alternatively, A full-time teacher role can be offered which would also include teaching responsibilities of the new GCSE course of Economics & Finance.

The post would be particularly suitable for a competent and successful practitioner who is able to teach across GCSE and A- Level in Economics working within the mathematics department. This post is also suitable for a newly qualified teacher.
