Salary: MPS/UPS (£24,373 - £40,490)

In May 2017 Newmarket Academy was rated 'good' by Ofsted. We invite you to join us as we move this good school to 'excellence'.
The core aims/values of this school are:
1. Making a difference to the lives of young people
2. Being a great place to work where colleagues are valued, supported and encouraged to grow
3. A school which seeks to challenge itself
4. A school which embraces creativity, innovation and change driven by all colleagues
We want to be the best school in the area. We are looking to recruit an ambitious and innovative colleague to play a major role in that journey. We are a key member of the Unity Schools Partnership which celebrates professional development and career development. The Teaching school and an active talent management programme will support the successful candidate in this post and in their future career within the Trust and beyond if necessary.
Our community believes in our vision and supports our journey. In the autumn of 2019 the school completed a multi-million-pound refurbishment project sponsored by the generosity of the local community. A key element of the transformation of the school is the complete upgrade of the Engineering workshops with state-of-the-art equipment which is quite exceptional. Every classroom now has interactive whiteboards and sound systems. The refurbishment has provided the school with brand new computers for staff and students, a new library with over 20,000 books in a state-of-the-art building with a superb new SEND area, audio-visual equipment and tennis courts.
We are looking for a creative, innovative and enthusiastic practitioner to join our Engineering and ICT department. We want you to share our passion for teaching and learning, someone who is keen to motivate and challenge our students and our colleagues. This post would suit equally an ambitious and experienced individual looking to further develop their career.
We currently teach our Engineering and IT as discreet subjects. We are looking for a colleague who could contribute to both departments.
In line with the school’s journey of transformation the departments’ results have improved significantly in recent years in Engineering and is now one of the most successful departments in the Academy, and our colleagues are hungry to secure even further improvements.
Our departments are an incredibly supportive team of professionals, who are supported by an excellent leadership team, who draw on the wider Trust for additional support, professional development and career progression opportunities.
