Job description

To carry out the professional duties of a teacher in accordance with the academy policies
Promote achievement of high standards through effective teaching and learning
Supervision and progress of students in allocated classes
Supervision of work of any classroom support staff during times they are allocated to classes

Essential skills and experience

Strong secure subject knowledge of Engineering to GCSE
Awareness of the strategies available for improving the teaching and learning of all students
Good understanding of the curriculum development in the specific subject area
Able to use a range of teaching and learning strategies
Understanding of assessment for learning and improving students' performance
