What skills and experience we're looking for

Would you like to work in a small school in a big community? At Prendergast Vale School we believe all our pupils can achieve success in life by working hard and being kind.

This is an opportunity for an ECT or experienced English teacher to join our supportive, professional and committed team from September 2024. A TLR for a Year Leader may be available for the successful candidate with the correct skillset.

The successful candidate will teach KS3 and KS4 English to all ability ranges. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high quality lessons and achieving excellent results for our students, instilling in them a love for the subject and a desire to learn.

Applications from ECTs are welcome as the school has a strong ECT training and support programme.

Prendergast Vale School is a small all-through school providing high quality education from nursery to Year 11, which aims to transform the lives of all the children who attend the school. By keeping the school small, we have created a community of pupils and teachers where no pupil is left behind which has enabled us to create an environment in which pupils want to learn, achieve and behave well.
