English is at the heart of our curriculum and one of our named specialisms. Ofsted 2020 described ‘teachers’ enthusiasm for English’ as ‘infectious.’

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious English teacher, with a commitment to continuing professional development, to join our highly successful and innovative English faculty. English G.C.S.E. results are consistently in the top 20% of all schools nationally. The successful candidate will be required to teach English up to and including G.C.S.E. A level teaching may also be possible. The post is suitable for either an ECT or a more experienced practitioner. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and is not suitable for anyone who has been barred in any way from working with children.

What the school offers its staff

Each classroom has a projector, an interactive whiteboard and is wireless networked. There is also easy access to a bookable resource of 30 computers which are for the sole use of the English faculty. Each member of staff is provided with his/her own laptop.
