This role involves teaching English to KS3 and KS4 students, beginning September 2024.

Enhanced Support
The English Faculty comprises of a dedicated, good-humoured, creative, and talented team of professionals. Currently, Faculty staffing consists of eleven full time teachers, including colleagues who are Heads of Year and a member of the Leadership Group. All students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 have seven English lessons per fortnight. Over the past few years, a combination of retirements, promotions and school expansion have allowed for new recruitment to take place so that the Faculty profile presents a healthy mixture of experience and innovation.
We follow the Eduqas GCSE specifications for both English Language and English Literature. Results at GCSE are strong with the 2023 English Progress 8 being 0.67. In 2023, pupils achieving grades 9 to 4 in English Language was 90%, with 28% achieving grades 7 to 9. English Literature stood at 91% grades 9 to 4 with 37% of students achieving grades 7 to 9.

Experience Requirements:
Familiarity with the English National Curriculum.
A track record of effective teaching at Key Stages 3 and 4.
Experience in delivering English courses up to the GCSE level.
Qualifications:
A degree in a relevant field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
