What skills and experience we're looking for
Teacher of English – Required for September 2024
We are seeking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic Teacher of English from September 2024. The successful candidate will be required to teach KS3 and KS4 with an opportunity to teach A Level for the right candidate. The position is open to ECTs as well as more experienced colleagues.
With a great track record of providing support to our staff, we also welcome applications from primary school teachers with an English specialism, who are looking to move into the secondary sector and wish to teach KS3.
The English department is a high performing department with a strong team. Students study AQA at GCSE for English and English Literature. At A Level, students follow the AQA Specification for English Literature and Pearson/Edexcel for A Level English Language and Literature. There are currently six full-time teachers, eight part-time teachers and two Teaching Assistants within the department.

Alongside a salary of between £31,737 and £46,525 pa (MPS2 – UPS3), the school will contribute 28.68% (the equivalent of between £9,102 and £13,343 pa) towards you being a member of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme.
