What skills and experience we're looking for

We seek to appoint a candidate who can teach English at Key Stages 3 and 4 and has a sound knowledge and genuine passion for the subject. This individual will join our growing English Department.

Selly Park Girls’ School is a high performing 11-16 school in the south of Birmingham with a proven record of GCSE success. We welcomed an increased number of pupils this year due to an increase in PAN and now have over 800 pupils on roll.

The school has been judged as significantly above the UK average in progress for the past three years, consistently scoring within the top 20% of schools nationally. • Be a qualified teacher with experience and skills of working with children in KS3 and KS4
• Plan and deliver lessons whilst following the national curriculum
