Are you passionate about inspiring young minds through the power of language and literature? Sir John Nelthorpe School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join our dynamic English and Performing Arts Faculty. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled teacher to make a lasting impact in a supportive, ambitious, and forward-thinking school.
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and talented teacher to join a successful and supportive faculty and contribute to the development of the English & Performing Arts faculty to teach English across key stages 3 and 4 part-time (minimum 0.6) or full-time on a permanent contract from January 2025. An earlier start date may be possible for the right candidate. Candidates will have the opportunity to teach English at KS5 if desired however this is not essential.
It is expected that the successful candidate will be able to strengthen academic provision in English & performing arts and have the skills and abilities to engage and enthuse all types of learners to making excellent progress and a love of learning. You will also benefit from the opportunity to engage with performing arts to develop our pupils as talented and effective performers through extra-curricular events such as school productions and house-related performances if desired.
