Teacher of English job summary
Our Opportunity
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of English to join our department, to teach English across all ability groups in KS3 and KS4.
The successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate our ambitious and hardworking pupils.
Early Careers Teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/ECT) will also be considered for the role, and support will be provided.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Confidence, enthusiasm and a passion for learning.
- Experience in teaching GCSE English
- Understanding and applying effective classroom management.
- A relevant teaching qualification
- Understanding and applying a range of teaching strategies.
- Positively targeting and supporting individual learning needs.
- To undertake professional duties as delegated by the English Faculty Lead /Headteacher / Director of Learning for English.
- To implement the aims and objectives of the school/trust and to understand and work within school/ trust policies to achieve these aims and objectives.
Filey Secondary School
Filey School is an 11-16 mixed community school serving the coastal town of Filey and its surrounding villages.
