Teacher of English job summary
Outwood Academy Hasland Hall is looking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to join our English Department from January 2023 (or earlier if possible). This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people and to join an experienced and energetic team. Our single goal is ‘Students First’ and you will be joining a strong team of professionals working to this sole aim; ensuring that students are taught for deep understanding and enabling every student to leave school with qualifications which provide them with a wide range of opportunities. Our curriculum allows this to be facilitated and the training and support for teachers enables them to feel fully confident in their roles.
The academy benefits from being part of the Outwood Family of Schools, which gives staff opportunities to work with a range of teachers with different experiences, as well as a team of Directors; we invest in you so that you are able to invest in our students.
We welcome applications for our academy from teachers of any experience, who love English and who have a passion to develop this in others. You have the opportunity to progress quickly across our Family of Schools, through leadership or through our Deeps structure but if you are just aiming to be the best English teacher that you can be, then we are also the school for you!
OGAT are proud to be a part of the National Institute of Teaching (NIoT) hosting it’s North and East campus as Outwood Academy Redcar and Outwood Academy Adwick. OGAT colleagues will benefit from the work of the institute, which draws on the expertise of some of the most outstanding school leaders in education today.
