About the role:

We are seeking to appoint a teacher of English and a Lead Teacher of Drama. Drama is still relatively new to our curriculum, so this is a great time to join the team and shape the future of the subject.

The successful candidate will teach key stage 3 English, GCSE English literature and language as well as some Drama at Key Stage 3. There is a vision, over time, for Drama to be part of our curriculum offer at Key Stage 4.

This is an ideal role for those with significant experience, but equally an opportunity for someone relatively new to the profession to start their leadership journey. The school and our trust have an excellent reputation for high quality professional development and ensuring that there are pathways for career progression. We also have access to high quality NPQs to provide a strong foundation to your professional development with a nationally recognised qualification.

Whilst this is a full time and permanent position, as part of our commitment to flexible working, applicants who wish to consider a 0.8 FTE contract, with Fridays off work each week, should make this clear in their application.

We are also well located with good public transport links and excellent access to the motorway network.
