What skills and experience we're looking for
- Experience of assessment of student performance at Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential to develop along with the curriculum at KS5).
- Experience of working as part of a team
- Knowledge of National Curriculum requirements and assessment at Key Stages 3 and 4
- Knowledge of current trends in the teaching of their subject(s)
- Excellent classroom teacher with a lively, interactive approach
- Effective classroom manager
- Excellent inter-personal skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent IT skills
- Ability to teach their specialist subject across the 11-16 age range to students of all abilities
- A commitment to the place of their specialist subject in the comprehensive school curriculum
- Patience, determination and tact; with students, parents & colleagues
- A commitment to equal opportunities
- A commitment to high standards
- Engaging personality to whom students respond
- Willingness to work hard for sustained periods
- Excellent communicator
