We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher of English to join our highly successful faculty.

Soham Village College is a splendid place to work. Our students are hardworking and ambitious, with a most recent Progress 8 Score of +0.75.

Ofsted observed in their recent visit, that ‘the school has crafted a curriculum that is highly ambitious for all pupils. They also said ‘pupils understand that they are part of a community where everyone’s actions can impact on everyone else. They are determined to be the best they can be. This results in an exceptionally positive attitude to their own and each other’s learning.’

There is a collaborative and supportive culture in the school and staff value highly the continuing professional development and research opportunities available. There are varied opportunities for career progression for staff at all levels and applications from ECTs are welcome.

This role is required from 1 September 2025.

Salary range: £31,650 - £49,084 Salary is dependent upon qualifications, skills and experience.
