Brompton Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and inspiring Teacher of English to join our successful and supportive English Department. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to contribute to a thriving academy that is committed to delivering high standards of teaching and learning. The position is available on a full-time basis; however, part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate.

The Role :

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable but not essential)
  • Support students in achieving strong outcomes in GCSE English Language and Literature
  • Experience of teaching Functional Skills English would be an advantage
  • Inspire a love of literature and language
  • Monitor and support student progress to ensure excellent outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of innovative schemes of work
  • Play an active role in the wider life of the academy
