Teacher of English job summary
We are seeking to appoint, an enthusiastic, dynamic candidate who is passionate about teaching English. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a commitment to high quality teaching and learning and will have a love of the subject that will inspire and motivate pupils to develop a life-long relationship with the written word. In return, we will be able to offer the opportunity to develop a knowledge based curriculum that offers exciting opportunities for teachers to develop their practice whilst allowing pupils to achieve their full potential.
We also look forward to a new school building to be completed in 2019/2020.
The successful candidate will contribute to the continued raising of standards both within English and across the whole school. The whole school responsibility of Communication across the Curriculum is a vital role aimed at developing language and reading skills across all subjects. We are a reading school and the drive to raise standards is at the heart of this position. The post is suitable for an experienced teacher and in return we can offer you a supportive and friendly team of staff who are all dedicated to developing our students as individuals.
