Teacher of English job summary

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and hardworking English teacher to join our outstanding English Department. Experience and ability to teach KS3 and KS4 English is essential. English GCSE results and progress has been outstanding over the past two years. In 2018 our P8 in English was +0.50 and in 2019 it was +0.20.

Hounsdown is an 11-16 Science College which converted to an Academy in August 2011. We are a popular, over-subscribed, Outstanding (Ofsted 2017), Hampshire school and a strategic partner for the ETC Teaching School Alliance. Our school has a welcoming ethos with students being courteous and respectful. We are committed to supporting all staff in their career aspirations and growing new leaders.
