What skills and experience we're looking for

The Deanery CE Academy is a growing school, in the heart of the community of Wichelstowe with the most amazing facilities, inspirational staff and incredible students. We believe that we have a duty to enable all our students to flourish when they are at school, to enable them to live life in all its fullness- this is the foundation of our ethos and will form a significant part of our dialogue in all aspects of school life.

As a growing school which opened in 2019, we are currently looking for a Teacher of English to join us on this incredible journey from September 2023, and to inspire our students in appreciating literacy and reading, and how this subject informs many aspects of the world around them. This post is suited to those with some experience of teaching, however ECTs will be considered. You will therefore be an enthusiastic teacher with a real passion for learning and developing a love of learning.

We are looking for a person with a bucketful of energy, who will be eager to develop their professional capabilities and work alongside established staff to provide high pitch and challenge in lessons. You will be part of an exciting group of pioneering educators in developing our academy, so you must be willing to work as part of a strong team.

School Visits are welcomed and encouraged.

The start date for this role is September 2023 or earlier if availability permits
