What skills and experience we're looking for

The English department is a strong and forward-thinking team. Together, the team aims to create an excellent learning environment and embraces innovative teaching strategies to inspire children.

Presently, the department consists of five teachers who teach across the ability and age range. The English department are a creative and reflective team who work collaboratively to ensure that resources and planning is designed to maximise progress and achievement. Children study a range of texts across the Key stages and follow a three-year KS3 curriculum. At KS4, children follow the AQA specification. The ethos of the team is to foster a love of reading, exploring, and analysing the world through text.
