What skills and experience we're looking for
Would you like to work in a small school in a big community? At Prendergast Vale School we believe all our pupils can achieve success in life by working hard and being kind.
This is an opportunity for an ECT or experienced English teacher to join our supportive, professional and committed team from September 2025.
The successful candidate will teach KS3 and KS4 English to all ability ranges. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high quality lessons and achieving excellent results for our students, instilling in them a love for the subject and a desire to learn.
Applications from ECTs are welcome as the school has a strong ECT training and support programme.
Prendergast Vale School is an all through school, nursery to Year 11, and rated as Good by Ofsted in February 2018. It is one of the top performing mixed schools for E-Bacc in Lewisham. The school benefits from being part of the Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with colleagues across the Federation.
