What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our collaborative English department in the role of Teacher of English starting from September 2025, or sooner dependent on the successful candidate's availability. Successful candidates will be passionate about delivering an English curriculum which supports our vision of developing STEM professionals for the future global market.

As a Teacher of English, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of our students. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons that ignite a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking. Your passion for English will inspire students to reach their full potential and develop essential communication skills for their future. Our successful candidate will have high expectations of their students, strong subject knowledge, resilience, compassion and a keen desire to learn and grow.

We’d like to hear from you if you are:

  • An excellent teacher who is passionate about learning and has strong subject knowledge;
  • A keen advocate for the importance of English education as part of the curriculum;
  • Have a high level of teaching experience and delivery of results, or are an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking for their first position;
  • Collaborative, able to build strong professional relationships;
  • Able to motivate and inspire students and staff to achieve their full potential;
  • Energetic and have a ‘can-do’ attitude;
  • Confident, with strong career aspirations;
  • Committed to the safeguarding and happiness and wellbeing of everyone at the Academy.
