A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join our outstanding English team, in our forward thinking and aspirational school based in Warwickshire’s beautiful, medieval market town of Henley-in-Arden. You’ll be joining our passionate and exceptionally performing department which nurtures and develops our student's English Language and Literature knowledge. Our exceptional English department got an 80% 9-4 pass rate 2022-2023 and fantastic rates of progress in 2023-2024. Our English department also nurtures a love of subject through a range of innovative teaching techniques and activities, including trips immersive experiences.
In addition, we are looking for this post holder to undertake a Head of Year role, for which there is a TLR and time allocated to support the learning, wellbeing and conduct of your assigned year group. You will be joining our fantastic pastoral team, supporting the delightful students of Henley in Arden School, given the support to manage students, with the autonomy to shape your year group to reflect our high standards.
- Be accountable and responsible for the learning and progress of pupils in assigned classes ensuring excellence for and from all
- Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with learners, parents/carers, governors, other staff and external agencies in the best interests of pupils
- Act within the statutory frameworks, which set out professional duties and responsibilities and in line with the duties outlined in accordance with school policies, the current School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document and Teacher Standards (2012)
- Responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school
