High Prior Attainment Lead Teacher
Required from 1st January, 2020 TLR 2.2

For January 2020, we are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and dynamic teacher of English to join our successful team at The Bolsover School. This post will include the leadership responsibility for the attainment and progress of High Prior Attaining students within the faculty. We require an innovative and motivational teacher with excellent subject knowledge and the desire and commitment to raise achievement of all students at all levels.

The Bolsover School is part of the Redhill Academy Trust. The academy is also a member of Redhill Teaching School Alliance and as such there are excellent CPD opportunities and the chance to work alongside other high performing schools in the region. The Bolsover School became a member of The Redhill Academy Trust, on 1st February, 2018.

Essential skills and experience

Successful teaching experience of English across 11-16 age and full ability range.
Knowledge of:
How using data can improve student achievement
The English wider curriculum and recent / ongoing changes to the curriculum.
The effective use of classroom support to enable students with additional needs to achieve.
An awareness and understanding of
current educational policy and issues.
Evidence of participation in recent professional development particularly related to English
Passion to make a difference to pupils’ learning in English
Ability to be a team member
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
Energy, drive and dynamism
Ability to work under pressure
