What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and motivated English teacher with an infectious passion for the subject and specialist subject knowledge to join us.

You will be part of a wider English team and will receive excellent support and opportunities for development within the Academy and across the Trust.

You must be confident in the delivery of English and have the ambition and dedication to continue to support the development of the curriculum in line with current practice and research in effective teaching. You will be able to support the promotion of excellent standards of student learning, achievement, progress, attainment and behaviour through working effectively and collaboratively.

You will be passionate about your specialist subject and seek to inspire students within all areas of English, taking the lead for the promotion and development of the Literacy strategy across the Academy. In our ambition to be a reading school, this role is very important to us.

We fully embrace that the development of our students’ reading, writing and oracy will contribute to improved outcomes, and this is key to our success. However, we also are committed to our students finding pleasure and enjoyment in character development, fantasy, fiction and knowledge that inspires creativity and supports their holistic development.
