We are looking for a highly ambitious English Teacher who will contribute to the development of an outstanding English Department and to drive forward literacy and love or learning in our expanding school.
The successful candidate will assist in establishing the direction for teaching, learning and assessment in English and literacy, in-line with the whole-school pedagogical strategy of knowledge-based learning, to set the highest expectations and ensure that all students not only achieve excellent outcomes but flourish within an environment of nurture.
Opportunities for departmental and whole school responsibilities will provide excellent experience for a successful candidate who is looking to progress their career at pace either to excel in the leadership of English or towards Senior Leadership in the future. King James Academy Royston, is a through school formed from the amalgamation of two middle schools and an upper school in 2019. Since 2020 it has been part of the Diamond Learning Partnership Trust. It is approximately 12 miles from Cambridge and is within easy access of London. The three schools were each recognised as ‘Good’ in all categories by Ofsted in their last inspections prior to the merger.

The Diamond Learning Partnership Trust consists of fourteen schools, across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and North Hertfordshire who work closely together to provide the best possible learning experience for our learners. Royston is a market town with good facilities, within easy reach of Cambridge and Stevenage and with excellent transport links to London.
