Teacher of English (Maternity Cover)
The Northworthy Trust are inviting applications for the post of Teacher of English (Maternity Cover) based at The Long Eaton School. The successful applicant will be professional, adaptable and dedicated to delivering high quality teaching with broad experience of working across a busy English department. They will have strong communication skills and will be able to work well within a team, yet be able to demonstrate an ability to utilise their own initiative. They will be motivated and resilient and be able to demonstrate the skills required to engage students in their learning. The post holder will play an integral part in the contribution made by the English Department to whole school Learning and Teaching and will be involved in developing various programmes and projects to raise the profile and status of English and literacy throughout the school.
This is an excellent opportunity for an NQT or more experienced teacher to join this innovative and growing Trust. NQTs benefit from a full programme of NQT support throughout their Induction Year and all staff enjoy the benefits of CPD. Essential educational requirements
– Degree in subject related course
– Qualified Teacher Status

– Knowledge of the National Curriculum and of KS3, GCSE and A Level subject related courses
