Teacher of English job summary
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative Teacher of English, who wants to be part of a federation of schools where ‘the Executive Headteacher and his senior team lead with purpose and clarity and are determined that all pupils receive the highest quality of education’*.
Are you prepared to work hard, have fun and share your good practice? The Colleges are fast paced and expectations are high, but you would be joining a bustling, busy environment where we make a huge difference to young people. The Federation is not a place for anyone wanting an easy-ride or where ok is good enough. However, if you invest yourself in the Federation and the students, then in return you will be looked after, supported and have the opportunity to work with ‘leaders who have been mindful of staff well-being’** and where ‘staff share the vision for the school’**. If this sounds interesting then please read on.

The Isle of Wight Education Federation comprises Carisbrooke College, Medina College and The Island VI Form. It was established to harness the very best education practice within the two secondary schools and a large A Level sixth-form centre of almost 500 students. The vision is to create a culture of continual improvement with increasingly successful outcomes for young people across the Island. As the schools are part of a federation, candidates must be prepared to work across the three sites as necessary. Appropriate vehicle business insurance will therefore be required.
For further information and an application pack, please visit our website at www.iif.org.uk. Completed applications should be submitted to HR@iwef.org.uk. Please note that we cannot accept applications, which are not submitted on the official application forms, and we do not accept CVs under any circumstances.
