Teacher of English
Carrying out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with Academy policies, under the direction of the Principal.
Promoting the achievement of high standards through effective teaching and learning within subject area(s), preparation, evaluation and action planning.
Being central in the delivery of the ECM agenda, paying regard to the provision of personalisation for students.
Being part of the team driving the development of Outwood Academy Valley to maintain its "outstanding"status.
Essential educational requirements
Degree in appropriate discipline.
Teaching qualification together with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Essential skills and experience
Recent and relevant teaching experience in employment or training.
Experience of assessment at Key Stage 3 and 4.
Ability to use a range of teaching and learning strategies.
Ability to use student level data to raise standards.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team.

A minimum of two hours CPD per week for all staff.
