Teacher of English - Required for September 2019 job summary

Thank you for your interest in the above post at the school. We demand the very best for our students and therefore only seek to appoint the highest calibre of candidate, who shares our philosophy and vision.

As a school, our focus remains on ensuring each student has appropriate opportunities, curriculum and support to reach their highest potential. To achieve this, our staff must have the qualifications and professional development in order that they can deliver, as required, to each student. In this, exciting Learning and Teaching strategies lie at the core of our work, so your professional development is critical to our students’ success.

If successful, you will be supported by a team of professionals who will ensure you establish yourself within the school, support your development and champion your work to others.

Currently, we are oversubscribed in the main school and already have over 350 students in our Sixth Form. This, I believe, shows we have the support of the majority of the community which we serve.

We have a strong partnership with our feeder schools and an excellent transition programme for Year 6 students and their parents. Our pastoral (vertical) house system ensures the all-round development of each student is central to our work, seeing the education of the ‘whole student’ as key.

In September 2016 we became part of The Yare Education Trust which now includes six schools and we continue to grow.

The Trust schools are united in their vision for education in the communities they serve and each has a unique identity. In working together within and beyond the Trust, we believe in the synergy of what we can offer: that our combined experience and expertise are greater than the sum of our individual parts.

Thank you again for your interest in this post. We look forward to your response by post, or email to HR@yare-edu.org.uk and the deadline for applications is 10 am on Wednesday 12 June 2019.

Your application should be made using the school Application Form.

We reserve the right to interview prior to the closing deadline, so early applications are encouraged.
