What skills and experience we're looking for
Our English department is looking for a new member of the team to continue our innovative development of curriculum, resources and experiences for students at Shrewsbury Academy.
You will strive for outstanding outcomes in line with the school ethos of be kind, be courteous and work together. Standards at our Academy are increasing quickly, and we want a new member of the team to join us in reaching for the stars and capturing the best successes for our students.
Our English Department is progressive and exciting, using educational research and EEF strategies to explore and engage students in the most challenging of ways. Our students enjoy their learning with the team. Our next steps are based around taking this enjoyment and building a passion for the subject.
We know our school is a unique place. Staff are considered to be family, and an integral part of the community that we serve. Our staff wellbeing survey tells us staff love working here because of the relationships between staff and students and we would love to meet you so you can see this in practice.
