This is an exciting time to be joining Sir John Deane's Sixth Form College and the Sir John Brunner Foundation Multi Academy Trust, which collectively educates over 4300 children, and employs over 450 professionals. Each of our academies operates at the heart of their local communities. The Foundation’s central offices are based at Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College campus.
About the Role
As a teacher at our sixth form college, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire academic excellence and independent thinking. You will support students aged 16–19 through their studies, helping them achieve their full potential. Collaboration with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and tailored support is essential. This role also involves contributing to the wider college community through enrichment activities and academic mentoring.

What we are looking for
Sir John Deane's seeks to appoint an enthusiastic teacher to contribute to the work of this thriving department.
We welcome applications from both early career teachers and teachers with experience. A Level experience is not an essential requirement; we are seeking to appoint an individual with a strong academic background in English who loves to teach and who has a passion for all aspects of the subject. The successful candidate should have the ability to teach across A Level English Literature and A Level English Language programmes. A full ECT programme is offered at the College in the same way as schools, this means you will be fully qualified to advance your future career.

- develop relationships with students based upon equality, respect, joy and high aspirations
