We require a dynamic and innovative teacher to join our exceptional and highly successful English department. The person appointed will join a strong and high achieving English department where results are consistently well above the national average at all key stages. We prepare students for GCSEs in AQA English and English Literature, AS and A2 OCR English Literature.
The English department is outstanding and embraces with enthusiasm any developments in teaching and learning. We make a major contribution to the extra-curricular life of the school through theatre trips, public speaking, working with professional writers, organising lectures and visits for High Achieving and Talented students and making films. Staff in the department are encouraged in their professional development as part of the school’s performance management system.
