Working with Leigh Academies Trust: As of September 2019, our Trust is comprised of 25 geographically organised academies (11 secondaries, 13 primaries and 1 special) educating over 15,000 students, and employing over 2,500 talented staff. We also have three further academies in development phase, due to open between September 2020-2021. The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North West Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway. In addition, the Trust is responsible for one of the region’s biggest initial teaching training providers and a large teaching school.

Teacher of English job summary
We are looking for a well-qualified, enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of English to join The Leigh Academy for January 2020 on a fixed term, 1-year maternity cover contract in the first instance, but the LAT Talent Team will work with you to secure a substantive role thereafter. The successful candidate will be a creative and passionate Teacher who is able to teach across all ability levels at all Key Stages to a high standard. You will join an established, successful department with a talented team who achieve excellent results. If you have the passion to positively contribute to our ethos and have the drive to make a difference for our students, then we would like to hear from you. Responsibilities and duties assigned to this position are in line with the National Teaching Standards.
