Teacher of English job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join a talented and dedicated English department. English is taught by an enthusiastic and highly committed team of teachers. The English Department is vibrant and full of personality with an emphasis on team-work and mutual support, which enables members to develop their practice and adapt to the challenges of a developing curriculum. English has a record of success at all key stages (2019: GSCE English 80% 4+, 70% 5+ and 31% 7+) and a successful uptake for English Literature at KS5 (2019: English Literature 79% A*-B). Students are taught in mixed ability groups at all Key Stages.

This role has been advertised to increase capacity in the English Department. Initially, this is a one-year post but in the past there have been further opportunities available for colleagues who have joined on a temporary basis. The successful applicant should expect to be very well supported in their professional development and it would therefore suit an NQT or someone in the early stage of their career.
