PolyMAT is a small and ambitious MAT with a unique family feel that is seeking a Teacher of English/Drama. Our vision is ‘Success for Everyone’ and the successful candidate will help deliver this for our schools. We currently have three schools in our Trust: Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys, a long-successful boys’ school, Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls that opened in 2019, and Bannockburn Primary School, a large successful primary that joined the Trust on 1st November 2023. We also have our flourishing Sixth Form provision which is co-educational. Our Trust and our schools pride themselves on a culture of high standards delivered through our Values of Care and Unity. We are looking to appoint an exceptional teacherof English/Drama with a dynamic and inspirational approach to teaching, an individual that will become an integral part of the department, who will support the department in achieving its ambitious targets and goals. We would like a teacher who believes in collaboration both for students and when working with colleagues.

The ideal candidate will be expected to contribute to do extra-curricular activities within the department as well as the pastoral life of the school.

We are looking for a teacher who has:

  • A genuine passion for teaching English/Drama
  • The ability to be an outstanding English/Drama teacher
  • The willingness to work as part of a motivated and dedicated team
  • The drive and enthusiasm to engage and inspire pupils.
  • The dedication to improve the life chances of young people throughout the school
  • Able to teach Film studies would be an advantage
  • Experience with KS5 Literature would be an advantage
