Teacher of English with TLR job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated professional to teach English to groups of students from all abilities across years from September 2021 in a supportive and team-orientated School graded as ‘Good’ in all categories. (Ofsted June 2018).

The successful candidate will be someone with a passion for their subject who will inspire and engage our students, and who will actively assist in the further development of English within the School. You will join a committed, hardworking and friendly department who work closely together to achieve the best possible outcomes for our students.

The TLR responsibilities will include working closely with the SEN department to distribute current and key information about our SEN students and their needs to the English department, to monitor the progress of our SEN students and provide support through interventions, to work with the Accelerated Reader Programme to distribute reading reports across the school and to identify students for reading interventions.
