We are looking to appoint a dynamic and committed Teacher of English with the additional responsibility of Year Leader within our highly effective pastoral team. You will be an exceptional practitioner with high expectations of all students. The role presents an exciting middle leadership opportunity and will provide an ambitious professional with excellent preparation for future career development. You will need the skills and experience to teach the full age and ability range across the English curriculum. The successful candidate will also require the ability to form positive working relationships and believe in the potential of every young person.

Year Leader responsibilities include:

  • Responsibility for leading a group of form tutors
  • Maintaining high academic standards across the year group
  • Pastoral and behavioral oversight of the year group
  • Increasing student attendance
  • Liaison with parents and outside agencies
