Job summary

Design and Technology is a valued subject in our school and fully support by senior leaders. The department has recently undergone a multi million-pound renovation and learners and staff are fortunate to have extremely well-resourced facilities. The food rooms are brand new and the subject is a popular option at GCSE. Learners enjoy practical lessons and staff work collaboratively with each other to ensure learners get the best experience in class. There is another full time Food teacher and a technician who supports all subject areas. Design and Technology is a thriving subject and we are constantly looking for new ideas to innovate our curriculum and ensure learners experience a relevant, modern curriculum.

All teaching staff at Ladybridge have a generous allocation of non-contact time: typically 20%, which is double the legal minimum requirement. This ensures that our staff have the time to carry out their role to the highest possible standard, whilst having a genuine work-life balance.

This post is suitable for NQTs and experienced teachers.

This is a unique opportunity to transform young people’s lives, and to develop professionally, in a distinctive and rapidly improving school.
