What skills and experience we're looking for

Teacher of Food and Nutrition

Part time 0.6 fte

Fixed term maternity cover from the 1 December 2024 for up to one year (or the return of the post holder if sooner)

Main Pay Range / Upper Pay Range

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Food teacher with the ability to teach Food at KS3 and Food and Nutrition at KS4. Applications are welcome from experienced and ECT teachers. As a faculty, we offer food preparation and nutrition as well as product design, engineering design, textiles, Art and Photography across the year groups to make sure all students have a fully rounded curriculum offer.

Candidates must be passionate about teaching and committed to improving the learning outcomes of all students, able to demonstrate the ability to deliver high-quality teaching and inspire and motivate young people to achieve great outcomes.

The Faculty of Design, Art and Technology is a successful and popular faculty with students of all abilities and makes a significant contribution to our wider aim of preparing students for future careers. The successful candidate will be supported by a dedicated team that believes there are no limits to what a young person can achieve. You will also be joining a team who are engaged in their own learning and continually strive to develop their own practice and share with each other to improve our collective impact on young people.
