What skills and experience we're looking for

Are you an innovative Food & Catering Teacher who wants to bring your passion for your subject to enthusiastic students?

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Teacher of Food & Catering to join a team of teachers in our Design & Technology department who are all passionate about teaching and its impact on learning. The department offers Food Preparation & Nutrition at KS3 and GCSE, alongside Vocational Hospitality & Catering. We have excellent facilities with a stainless steel kitchen and a high uptake at KS4.

We are looking for an individual who can add to this already friendly and supportive team; a teacher who builds excellent relationships with students and inspires them in their learning. You will have the initiative, drive and determination to teach KS3 and KS4 and contribute to our creative and evolving curriculum, ensuring students are engaged and motivated and take pride in their achievements.

If you share our vision based on the unshakeable belief that children learn through all aspects of their daily lives and that their values and knowledge, experiences and habits are as important as their academic qualifications, we would be delighted to hear from you.

What the school offers its staff

A comprehensive induction programme is provided for all new staff. We are committed to continual bespoke professional development opportunities, e.g. access to peer coaching, a 1% improvement culture and personalised training.

Further details about the role

We welcome early applications and will consider holding interviews and appointing before the closing date for strong candidates.

Commitment to safeguarding

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a self-declaration of their criminal record or information that would make them unsuitable to work with children. This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. Please refer to the school website for further information regarding our Child Protection & Safeguarding policy. Any successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service.
